A luxury website is not a template dressed up with serif fonts. It is custom typography, cinematic motion and restraint, engineered to make a brand feel expensive the moment the page loads. I'm Emad Yahya, a Dubai-based developer who designs and builds them for premium brands.
My live work speaks the language: a boutique luxury property developer, a private-residences interior studio, the refined tailoring house Suité, and an interactive creative agency — all designed and built end to end by one person, in Dubai.
Luxury on the web is not gold gradients. It is discipline: generous whitespace, one confident typeface pairing, imagery treated like a gallery, and motion that whispers instead of shouts. Every element earns its place or gets cut.
It is also speed. A premium brand cannot afford a slow site — hesitation reads as cheapness. My builds are performance-tuned so the experience feels immediate on a phone in a car showroom, not just on a designer’s monitor.
High-end web design does not mean one house style. UNHID, a boutique property developer, opens on a cinematic full-screen video before a single word of copy — the brand sells discretion, so the site is engineered to lose the wrong audience on purpose. LKYOOB, a private-residences studio, goes the other way: full-bleed photography of The Arch Villa, The Green House and Radius House, serif display type, and reveals slow enough that the page reads like a printed portfolio rather than an interface.
THE GROE is a different instrument again. A creative agency’s website is a product sample, so its hero is a live field of 16,000 points that assembles the brand mark and re-forms around the cursor — craft demonstrated rather than claimed. The engineering underneath all three is the same: custom-coded in React and TypeScript, no theme and no page builder, with performance budgets held so the experience never stutters. What changes between them is what each brand needs its site to filter for.
A custom luxury brand site is priced by scope — number of pages, motion complexity, photography treatment and languages. As an independent developer my quotes are typically well below Dubai agency pricing for identical craft, because you are paying for the work, not the office. Never. Every site is designed and coded from scratch in React/TypeScript. Templates are the opposite of luxury — if a competitor can buy your look for $60, it is not a luxury look.

The parts nobody itemises: typography, spacing and pacing. On a busy template a weak detail hides behind decoration; on a reduced page there is nowhere for it to hide, so the few elements left have to be exact. Slow, deliberate motion is the same — it only reads as intentional rather than laggy when the timing is tuned precisely. That is where the extra time goes, and it is why these are custom-coded rather than assembled: page builders rarely let you touch the details that decide whether a page feels expensive.
